Why Join WithDisGuy?
Getting Started
Why should I join WithDisGuy?
“I don’t know where to begin.”
That’s the most common thing I hear, and it’s exactly why WithDisGuy exists. You’re not just getting access to booking tools and vendor relationships. You’re getting a clear path into an industry that most people try to figure out on their own.
I still book travel every day, so everything you learn here is based on what’s actually working right now. Not theory. Not outdated training. If you’ve ever thought, “I could do this,” this gives you a real way to start. You’ll learn how bookings actually happen, how to work with clients, and how to build something that can grow over time.
You’re also stepping into a trusted, 5-star rated travel brand. As part of the WithDisGuy Travel Network, you benefit from established supplier relationships and access to higher commission structures driven by our collective volume, helping you earn more than starting completely on your own.
This isn’t about recruiting a massive group of agents. It’s about helping the right people start smarter, avoid common mistakes, and move forward with confidence.
Who is a good fit? Do I need experience?
You do not need any prior experience.
Most people start exactly where you are right now. The best fit is someone who is curious, willing to learn, and ready to take action.
If you enjoy travel, like helping people, and are open to building something of your own, you’re in the right place.
If you’re looking for something completely hands-off where clients just show up without effort, this probably isn’t a fit. But if you’re motivated to learn and grow, you’ll have everything you need to get started.
Am I an employee? Do I have a boss?
No. You are an independent contractor, an independent travel advisor. No set hours.
You work with your own clients, and control how you build with the mentorship and guidance the WithDisGuy Travel Network. This is not an employee relationship and there is no traditional boss structure.
You receive guidance, support, and real-world insight so you can do this the right way, while still maintaining your independence.
How does training work and what will I actually learn?
Training is practical, ongoing, and based on real bookings.
You’ll learn how the business actually works from start to finish. That includes how to find clients, how to plan and present trips, how to work with suppliers, and how to avoid the mistakes that slow most beginners down.
You’ll also get access to guidance, shared experiences, and real examples based on what is working right now, not just generic training modules.
The goal is simple. Help you build confidence, understand the process, and start booking travel.
How soon can I start booking and earning?
You can get started fairly quickly, but there is a short setup process to complete first.
After joining, you’ll go through onboarding and account setup, which typically takes a few days. This includes getting connected to the booking systems, completing some initial training, and setting up your access with key suppliers.
From there, you can begin booking travel and working with clients.
How quickly you actually earn your first commission depends on how soon you take action, start conversations, and apply what you’re learning. Some advisors move quickly, while others take more time to build momentum.
There’s no artificial delay. Once you’re set up, you’re fully able to start.
Where will I find clients to book?
You are responsible for building and maintaining your own client base.
Most new advisors start with people they already know, then expand through referrals, social media, and consistent outreach.
You’ll learn strategies for finding clients, positioning yourself, and building credibility and relationships that lead to repeat business.
From time to time, opportunities or referrals may be shared, but they are not guaranteed. The focus is helping you build something that is truly your own.
Can I earn commissons on my own travel?
Yes! Absolutely.
You can book your own travel through the same systems and earn commission just like you would for a client booking.
Many advisors use their own trips as a way to learn the process while also benefiting from commissions on travel they were already planning to take.
Should be I full time, part time, or do this just for fun?
That’s completely up to you, and that’s one of the best parts about this.
Most advisors start part time while learning the business and building confidence. Some keep it as a side income long term, while others choose to grow it into something much bigger over time.
There’s no required schedule, no quotas on the Growth Plan, low minimums on the Core Plan, and no pressure to treat this like a full-time job unless you want to.
You can start at your own pace, see what’s possible, and decide how far you want to take it.
Are there good discounts available to us?
There can be, but it’s important to understand how this really works.
In the beginning, the primary benefit is earning commission on travel, not relying on discounts. Most major travel agent perks and industry rates require a certain level of activity before they become available.
As you build your experience and reach key milestones in the industry, you gain access to stronger benefits, including reduced rates, special offers, and travel opportunities from major brands.
These can include things like discounted hotel stays, cruise rates, theme park tickets, and exclusive travel agent promotions. In many cases, these opportunities are significantly reduced from public pricing, but they are not guaranteed and depend on supplier programs and eligibility requirements.
Think of it as something you grow into, not something handed out on day one. The more you engage in the business, the more access opens up.
Do I get Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance?
Yes! When you join, your first year includes participation in our E&O coverage so you can get started with confidence and focus on learning without feeling like you’re on your own.
As you grow, coverage may continue to be included, offered as an optional add-on, or structured differently depending on your plan at that time. We’ll walk you through your options when the time comes so you can make the best decision for your business. If you ever prefer to carry your own policy, you’re welcome to do that as well.
Why can't I just do this on my own?
You can. It will just take longer, and you will learn more through trial and error.
Working as an independent advisor within an established agency network like ours gives you two powerful advantages:
- Guidance on how to actually build and run in real time with the help of an expert travel advisor at your side.
- Access to stronger supplier commission tiers driven by our overall volume.
That combination typically means you get up and running faster, and in many cases earn more per booking than you would starting completely from scratch.
Getting Paid
Simple, transparent, and built for real earnings
How do commissions actually get paid to me?
Commissions are paid to you after the travel is completed and the supplier has paid the Agency which is typically within a few weeks.
At the beginning of each month, we review all commissions received during the prior month and begin distributing payments to advisors.
In most cases, payments are sent within the first week of the month, depending on when commissions are received and processed.
You’ll be able to track your bookings and commissions through the system, so you always know what’s coming and where things stand.
What do I need to do to receive commissions?
There are a few simple but important steps.
First, all confirmed bookings must be entered into the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system so commissions can be tracked and matched when they are paid by the supplier.
You’ll also need to follow supplier guidelines, maintain accurate booking details, and properly service your clients through the completion of travel.
The good news is this becomes second nature very quickly, and you’ll be shown exactly how to do it the right way from the start.
About how much can I earn doing this?
There’s no cap on what you can earn!
You’re paid a large percentage of the commissions generated from the travel you book, and those commissions can add up quickly depending on the types of trips and how active you are.
Many advisors start by booking their own travel and helping a few friends or family members, which can often offset their initial costs while they’re learning the process.
From there, the real growth comes from building relationships, generating referrals, and creating consistent bookings over time.
As part of the WithDisGuy Travel Network, you’re not starting from scratch. You benefit from established supplier relationships and stronger commission structures driven by our collective volume, which helps you earn more than going it alone.
The opportunity is real. What you do with it is up to you.
Do you have different plans?
Yes. There are two ways to get started, depending on how you want to approach it.
The Core Plan is designed for those who want to start simple with no monthly commitment and explore the business at their own pace.
The Growth Plan is designed for those who want higher commission levels, an annual cash bonus, more flexibility, and the ability to scale faster without minimum production requirements.
Both give you access to the same foundation, tools, and support. The difference comes down to how quickly you want to grow and how much you want to maximize your earnings. See the "Join Now" page for more details on each plan.
Expectations & Support
No pressure. No confusion. Just a clear path forward
What kind of support is available after I start booking?
You’re not doing this alone. That’s the whole point.
You’ll have access to a private WhatsApp community where you can ask questions, share experiences, and learn from me and other advisors who are building their business right alongside you. There are organized topics, pinned resources, and real conversations happening every day.
You’ll also have direct access to me. I’m actively booking travel every day, so when you have questions about a trip, a supplier, or how to handle a situation, you’re getting real, current insight, not outdated advice.
If you’re on the Growth Plan, you’ll also have the opportunity for a one-on-one call to talk through your goals, your strategy, and how to move forward in a way that actually fits you.
The goal is simple. You feel supported, you get your questions answered, and you keep moving forward with confidence.
What happens if I don't make any bookings?
There are no penalties for not booking travel right away.
If you’re on the Core Plan, there is a simple low annual activity requirement to remain active, which is designed to keep accounts open and in good standing. A good rule of thumb is to have one booking every 6 months to stay active. If there is a long period of inactivity, we will reach out to see how we can support you and if this is the right fit.
If you’re on the Growth Plan, there are no minimum production requirements while you’re actively enrolled, but booking activity every 6 months is expected to maintain an active relationship with the WithDisGuy Travel Network. We will always reach out to discuss how we can help before we discuss the next steps. We are here for you!
That said, like any business, results come from taking action. The more you engage, learn, and put yourself out there, the more opportunity you create.
What are my responsibilites as an advisor?
As an independent advisor, you are responsible for building and managing your own clients.
That includes working with your clients, communicating professionally, and ensuring bookings are properly handled from start to finish, meeting all deadlines. Reliable communication solves almost everything!
You’ll also need to enter confirmed bookings into the system (this is how you get paid!), follow all supplier guidelines, and maintain accurate information so commissions can be tracked and paid correctly.
These responsibilities are straightforward, and you’ll be shown how to handle them step by step as you get started.
What happens if I decide to leave?
You are free to leave or switch plans at any time. Your clients belong to you.
There are no long-term commitments. If you decide this is not for you, you can step away without penalties.
If you have active bookings at the time you leave, those bookings will remain within the system until travel is completed so clients continue to be supported and commissions can be properly processed.
You’ll always maintain ownership of your relationships and the experience you’ve gained along the way.
What happens if I make a mistake or have an issue with a client?
Mistakes can happen, especially when you’re learning, and you won’t be left to figure things out on your own.
You’ll have guidance to help you work through situations with clients and suppliers in a professional and thoughtful way. Most booking issues are fixable, and learning how to handle them is part of becoming a confident, capable advisor. If you're having an issue, let us know as soon as possible!Your first year also includes participation in E&O coverage, which is there to help protect against certain types of errors as you get started.
At the same time, as an independent advisor, you are responsible for your bookings and decisions. The goal is to help you avoid common mistakes, handle issues the right way when they come up, and continue building confidence as you grow.Running the Business
Everything you need to start and grow, without the overwhelm
How do I get access to suppliers?
You don’t have to go out and figure this out on your own. Access is built into the system with instructions listed for each vendor whether it is Disney, Universal, Hilton, Marriott, or any of the many suppliers you can offer.
As part of the onboarding process, you’ll be connected to the supplier network through the host agency. This gives you access to major travel brands, booking platforms, and vendor relationships that would be difficult to set up independently.
Each supplier has a simple registration and training process, and you’ll be guided through what matters most so you’re not wasting time.
Once you’re set up, you’ll be able to research, plan, and book travel directly through those suppliers.
How do new advisors typically get their first bookings?
Most advisors don’t start with strangers. They start with people they already know.
Friends, family, coworkers, and social circles are usually where the first bookings come from. Many people already have trips planned or are thinking about travel, they just need someone they trust to help them.
From there, it builds through referrals, repeat clients, and consistency.
You don’t need a huge audience to start. You just need to begin the conversation and let people know what you’re doing.
Will I be given leads or expected to find my own clients?
You are responsible for building your own client base.
That said, you won’t be left guessing on how to do that. You’ll learn how to start with people you already know, how to position yourself, and how to create opportunities through referrals and simple outreach.
From time to time, opportunities or leads may come through, but they are not guaranteed and should not be relied on.
The goal is to help you build something that is truly your own and sustainable long-term.
What tools will I use to manage bookings and clients?
You’ll have access to a full set of tools through the host agency to manage your bookings.
This includes a CRM system for entering and tracking bookings, supplier portals for planning and reserving travel, and access to training platforms and resources. Instructions are also given for setting up accounts with each supplier.
These are the same types of systems used by professional travel advisors, and you’ll be shown how to use them step by step so it becomes second nature. Plus, if you get stuck, you'll have direct access in our WhatsApp chat to seek support. You're never alone.
You don’t need to go out and purchase complicated software to get started. You'll definitely want a computer though!
Do I need a license? An LLC? A website? Social media?
You don’t need everything set up on day one, and most people don’t.
LLC:
You are not required to form an LLC to get started. Some advisors choose to set one up over time for liability or tax reasons, but that’s a personal decision. If you’re considering it, it’s best to speak with a tax or legal professional to decide what’s right for you.
Licensing:
You will be operating under the host agency’s Seller of Travel registrations where applicable, including California and Florida. Some states, such as Florida, may require individual registration depending on where you live. In addition, certain cities or counties may require a basic business registration. You are responsible for complying with your local laws, and we can help point you in the right direction during setup.
Website:
You do not need a website to begin. Many advisors start without one. When you’re ready, you’ll get guidance on simple, effective platforms so you can create a clean web presence without needing technical experience. You’ll also be able to get feedback and ideas from the WithDisGuy Travel Network as you build.
Social Media:
Social media is one of the most effective ways to grow in today’s environment, but it doesn’t need to happen all at once. You can build your presence over time based on your strengths, whether that’s writing, photos, video, or simply connecting with people you already know. Many advisors start with their existing network and expand from there.
We’ll walk through what matters, what doesn’t, and help you build this the right way without feeling overwhelmed.
Will my clients pay more booking through me?
No. In most cases, your clients will pay the same price or better than if they booked on their own.
Travel suppliers build commission into their pricing, so when you book a trip, you’re paid by the supplier, not by adding extra cost to your client.
In many cases, you can actually provide more value by helping clients choose the right options, avoid mistakes, and take advantage of promotions or better planning strategies.
It’s a win for them and a win for you.
